One-Day Zhouzhuang and Jinxi Water Town Tour

Your guide will be ready to greet you in the morning at around 8:30 AM in the hotel lobby. A comfortable car will transport

you and your guide to Zhouzhuang, a water town nestled amid canals, ponds, and lakes. With its historical buildings,

bridges, boat rides, and local crafts, this town is framed by quaint water town scenery. Capture the picturesque views,

reminiscent of “Shanghai Triad,” and consider taking a gondola ride to witness the canal-side way of life firsthand. This

medieval water town, with a history spanning more than 900 years, features houses and bridges built during both the Ming

(1368–1644) and Qing dynasties (1644–1911).

During the lunch break, stop at a designated restaurant by the waterway to savor locally crafted cuisine on the second

floor, offering the best views of the water village. Lunch is not included in the pricing

In the afternoon, our guide will lead you to Jinxi ancient water town for exploration. Compared to other ancient towns in

China, Jinxi Ancient Town exudes simplicity, less sophistication, and tranquility. Covering a small area of only one square

kilometer, Jinxi boasts 16 lakes and 238 rivers, with 36 ancient bridges spanning them. These bridges showcase various

styles, constructed during different historical periods.

The town is home to several museums, including the first museum of antique tiles and bricks in China, the “red porcelain

products museum,” and the “root caving museum of China.” Our guide will accompany you to explore each of these

museums.

Moreover, Jinxi water town is renowned for its picturesque landscapes, steeped in a history of over 2000 years. Most of

the architectures maintain their original charm, making them a “must-do” for your travel itinerary. Ample time will be

provided for capturing memorable photos.

At the conclusion of the tour, we will transfer you to your hotel. If you need to catch a flight or a train, we are more than

happy to assist with arrangements. Please inform us of your departure time when booking, and remind our guide, so we

can make appropriate arrangements.

Returning to your hotel in Shanghai typically takes about 2 hours. The same timeframe applies for reaching a Shanghai

train station. Directly heading to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport usually takes around 1½ hours, while reaching Pudong Airport

requires 2 hours.

For train departures, please be at the station 1 hour in advance. If you have a domestic flight, arrive at the airport 1½

hours before, and for international flights, arrive 2½ hours before departure. Notify us of your departure time, and we’ll

ensure all arrangements are made accordingly
